Train Layout Project

Let’s rewind time a little bit: it’s almost Christmas, and I have no idea what to do for my grandmother. After much internal debate, I decided to create a calendar for her… a sort of memento, so to speak, of my deceased grandfather.

Take a look at some of the photographs I took of Gramps’s model train layout:

  1. Excellent photos, again! My father was into trains when he was younger; he would love your grandfather’s setup.

My favorite of these is the bend in the track, with the trees. I don’t know why.

    Oh, and I am Spartacus.

I am glad you enjoyed them! I did not know that about your father. Did he collect the model trains as well?

      1. Yes! He dearly loved them, but he hasn’t done anything with them in many years, which is a little sad, given how much he liked them. I know his mother threw a fair amount of his things away when he was in college, so he may have lost much of it then, I’m not certain.

Now his “hobby” is dog rescue, which occupies all the time he would have had for trains and more, I’m sure! ^_^

  2. Excellent photos! My father had a train set and so did I when I was younger. Nothing close to the setup of these photos though. Takes me back. These photos are simply breathtaking. Very nice B!
